when the soul quickens but the body slows

Well never in a million years had they ever anticipated that there would come a time such as this,

A time of such great and untold suffering, so much blood that no more water flowed, just the crimson red of stale blood,

Never in there dull insignificant lives did they ever anticipate to ever be part of something so great that it made the Earth speed up a quarter of a millionth faster,

Can you see the Moon and Sun staring back in disbelief and amazement?

Bewildering the beauty and wonder of destruction, a disease that seems to have gripped us all at the heart,

The good book says that their consciouses have been seared like a Cow getting marked by a hot rod burning into its hard hide,

Do you not feel the stinging pain of the fire reaching into the flesh?

But who is there left to judge?

What is really right, what is really wrong?

Do any of these postulations mean anything or are they the rantings of a trapped lunatic?

I suppose there shall come a time when the great Prince shall rise again and all that is real shall be revealed in its true form,

Till then we are here, getting by, in our mundane pitiful existences,

Maybe if we were all younger there could be enough time to change it all back to how it should be or should I say how it was?
